Auburn 20/30 Club
puts up 17 runs in big victory Auburn Little
League Roundup

Lots of hitting made for a fun game on Saturday
afternoon between the Auburn 20/30 Club and Kiwanis Club in Auburn
Little League Major League play.
Alex Hostetler from 20/30
earned the game ball by hitting a double and a triple and finishing
width three RBIs, leading his team to a 17-4 victory. Hostetler also
caught a fly ball in right field and stole home in the last inning.
Koal Swisley hit a triple in the third inning and was
4-for-5 at the plate with two RBIs. Derek Bovee got on base four
times with three hits and two RBIs. Nick Linthicum gained the first
hit for 20/30 with a double and came back later in the game with two
singles.
PJ Bandanza hit a double into center field and
knocked in three runs. Singles from 20/30 were hit by Zach Uvalle,
Darren Centi and James Wilson. Reilly Newman from Kiwanis hit a hard
line drive down the first base line that was stopped by Swisley.
Kiwanis hits came from Joe Marich and Bricken.
Auburn
Elks Lodge #1691 10, Auburn 20/30 Club 0 — Griffin Quick knocked in
four runs with two singles and scored two runs to lead the Auburn
Elks Lodge over the Auburn 20/30 Club last Tuesday night.
Tim
Bendana hit three singles and scored three runs. Matt Ryan hit two
singles and scored two runs and Bryce Starks had a single, a run and
an RBI. Matt Dougherty scored twice and Tim Schools had an RBI.
Quick and Bendana combined to pitch the shutout.
For the
Auburn 20/30 Club, Derek Bovee and Nick Linthicum each had a single.
Bovee gave up only one run in two innings of pitching.
Auburn Journal 5, Placer Sierra Bank 3 — Auburn Journal’s
Caleb Mitchell struck out six batters in six innings and was backed
by an excellent defensive effort in the victory.
Cody Barger
led Auburn Journal at the plate with a double and an RBI. Ryan
Studebaker had two singles and two RBIs.
Placer Sierra Bank
was led by Colin Brown, who had two doubles and one RBI. Christopher
Holbrook had a single and a double with an RBI and Eric Weaver and
Damon Bell each had a pair of singles.
Placer Sierra Bank 10,
Auburn Elks Lodge #1681 2 — Anthony Amara gave Placer Sierra Bank
the lead with a home run in the third inning and finished the game
with six RBIs. Amara also had seven strikeouts in three innings of
work on the mound as he combined with Ryan Lipsmeyer for the
victory.
Philip Schoenhoff had a single and an RBI for Placer
Sierra Bank.
Matt Dougherty had a single and an RBI to lead
Auburn Elks Lodge and Tim Bendana struck out eight in four innings
of work on the mound.
