The Auburn Major Division All-Stars rebounded from a loss in the first round with a 13-0 shutout of Foresthill Wednesday in the Area 1 Tournament in Rocklin.

Nick Linthicum and Tim Bendana combined on a no-hitter for Auburn as the game was halted after four innings on the 10-run mercy rule. Linthicum struck out six batters in three innings and Bendana opened the game with one hitless inning.

Michael Gray had a three-run home run for Auburn and added an RBI-single. Ryan Lipsmeyer had a pair of doubles and scored three runs and Travis Tidd had two singles and scored one run. Matt Stuck had a double and an RBI and Linthicum smacked a solo homer.

Auburn will resume play today, taking on host Tri-City at 5 p.m.
